I found out about Tangles late last year and what AMAZING fun they are to do. Although at first glance people may feel they woudl be complicated and or difficult to do this is sooooo NOT the case. They are easy to do and soooooo much fun and are certainly not just limited to do on paper. This book is a fabulous guide for beginners and experienced tanglers too, as it explains what they are, how to do then and gives excellent illustrated step by steps for numerous tangles and more, with beautiful inspiration to go further. The illustrations are brilliant, well layed out and the book itself is a very comfortable size. The authors blog is brilliant and worth looking at too. (Be aware Zentangling is can easily become a wonderfully delightful and fascinatiing addiction !!!!!!!! )

This book 'totally tangled' was in a word, excellent. the beautiful illustrations, the quality of the paper and the level of instruction were all top class. I would whole heartedly recommend this book to anyone interested in zentangling or just doodling. Its a book that i refer to over and over again, that is how much i love it!

I found this book disappointing - in the teaching-my-grandmother-to-suck-eggs sense. I was hoping more for the philosophical/spiritual side of doodling as indicated by the name "zen"tangle, but this was more of a how-to-doodle book. I found it amazing that people are almost trade-marking and naming different doodling forms as if they are original - come on, we've all been using these techniques and patterns since secondary school! Also, very prescriptive about how to doodle... Strange - a good concept, but I found that the book doesn't quite hit the mark.
