Book Description

5 Aug 1999
In this innovative book, Dr Hilary Jones, respected GMTV doctor, and Dr Brenda Davies, a leading alternative therapist, show how we can make the best of both orthodox and complementary medicine.

Taking as their examples over 50 common complaints, ranging from diabetes to pregnancy, infertility to bereavement, they give sample case studies, then prescribe an orthodox and an alternative approach, illustrating at the end how the two can be combined. Set out in an easy-to-use A-Z format, and also including chapters on the basics of good living, the current state of medicine and a list of useful addresses, Total Wellbeing will help to transform our ideas about the meaning of health and well-being.

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO BE REALLY WELL 16 Dec 1999
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
I have been looking for a book like this for about 20 years. It is just superb. It is extremely well-written -- easy to read and easy to make notes from. The fact the authors have chosen to structure the book in an easy alphabetical (find out what you arelr concerned about) style is delightful. I am learning all sorts of things that doctors just don't seem to have the time or skill to communicate. Most important for me, I am actually putting together a target list of all the things I need to do to AVOID many avoidable old-age diseases. I am giving this book to everyone in my family. To the authors, I can't thank you enough.
