Good Introductory DVD

This DVD course lives up to its claims of providing educational material for beginners and intermediate users and of assuming that you have not used an earlier version of Indesign. I was happy that it only occasionally compared CS4 features to earlier versions. After watching the entire DVD, I have managed to do basic Indesign CS4 tasks with confidence.
The presenter speaks clearly and keeps things moving along fairly well. Note that if you're an experienced user of earlier versions (as is my partner), you'll find the DVD boring in many parts and you'd be happier with the more advanced version. Same goes for if you need to use Indesign CS4 for complicated jobs.
One possile problem to watch for is that on some Windows XP computers the audio gets out of sync, making the DVD unwatchable. This happened on one of our XP computers while it worked fine on the other one. You might be able to fix this by fiddling with some settings. Also, you need to be sure to use a recent version of Quicktime. (These didn't resolve the problem on one of our XP computers.)
