I suppose that I expected too much from this book as it was highly recommended by a business acquainence, but I have found it somewhat wooden in style and not altogether helpful in content.
The writers are not doubt very experienced in this field, but they make little attempt to come up with a readable book. Instead you get something more akin to a consultant's report in that it tends to pose more questions than it answers. I also have the feeling that it will quickly date as times move on.
It is being used and will sit on the bookshelf within reach, but I was hoping for something that would sit on the desk as a daily reference.

Not recommended for the U.S. market

I think this book would be an excellent addition to any facility manager in England (5 stars). It is written and published for the British market and details all the UK's rules, procedures and laws. However, not so much for the U.S. market. Although some of the areas relate,it isn't enough to buy it in the United States. Almost half the book details all the different laws and rules used in the UK. Worthless for the U.S. facility manager. Bottom line. If your in England buy the book but if your in the U.S. I wouldn't.
