Product Description
The tray holds 14 individual 22ml portions of puree allowing you to prepare food for your baby in advance and then freeze it until it's needed. The tray is supplied with a lid which prevents the food from spilling when first put in the freezer. It has also been specially designed so that only one portion of food is released at a time (unlike traditional ice cube trays where all the cubes sometimes end up on the floor!). Having a lid on the tray also means that you can stack them up in the freezer and prevents freezer odours from penetrating the food.

I loved this so much I now have two. Strong plastic. Cubes are bigger than normal cubes. Easy to remove cubes. Cover is great for when freezing baby purees. What more can I say... it washes well in dishwasher too.

I bought the OXO Tot Food Freezer Tray because of the product description, which promised easy freezing and taking out of individual portions of baby food through the specially designed sliding lid. The lid is definitely easy to slide on and off and, in theory, should allow you to get out one cube of food at a time. However, the material and design of the tray let this product down. It is made out of hard plastic, which is very difficult to bend, with the consequence that it is pretty much impossible to get a cube out. The only proper way I found is to hold the tray under water for a few seconds and then knock the cube(s) out - but this is obviously an extra hassle.
Knowing what I know now, I wish I had gone for the good old silicone freezer trays.

I have been looking for this product in the shops for a wee while but could not find anywhere. I was put off at first by the price but after I purchased I then went on to buy another as they are very good. Does the job well any easy to get the food out after freezing.

Easy to use and clean.
This is easy to use, the cubes are easy to remove- just twist the tray and tip onto the lid. Not all baby food trays come with lids. Read more

too small and too difficult to get food out
Would not recommend this product. the cubes are too small and the plastic is so stiff it is really difficult to get the cubes out once frozen, especially one by one.

Arrived quick, good quality material, 100% does what it's supposed to do. To get cubes out I run a bit of lukewarm water on the back side of the tray and then twist it. Read more
