I haven't had any problems at all with the keyboard disconnecting, as the other reviewer wrote. I think it's important to press the small "disconnect" button before touching the release latches. In addition to all the normal programmes that just "work", my kids play quite a few games on it. You can easily link it to the TV for one of those driving games e.g. If you wanted to do that with an Apple iPad I think you'd have to spend £50 for the proprietary cable. That sort of thing annoys me.
I've knocked off a star because I think 2 USB ports (only one of which is USB 3) is not enough. You probably wouldn't use this machine for all-day word processing sessions, at least not without a larger external keyboard, but the angle of view of the screen (close to upright) is actually just right for when you're lying on the sofa!
Upgraded to Windows 8.1 straight away, which is surprisingly pleasant to use on this kind of machine. I paid £850 for mine, but I've seen it advertised here for over £1000 which is a bit too high in my view.
The lid can only open to a certain angle, but it can be gotten used to and it doesn't really bother me.
The seller was very helpful re the pen issue and they were very professional and prompt.
Now the battery says it is failing and most of the battery companies don't sell the battery for this so you'd be forced to buy from Toshiba at their prices.
you could pay an extra £120 for a visit and repair warranty but I was not told this.
Not worth the money basically. I won't be buying Toshiba again.
