I got this laptop as a gift for christmas and have to say it isn't half bad.
Not ground breaking performance but does it's job well for general web surfing and basic tasks such as watching DVD's, editing word documents, listening to music and other general tasks.
If you decide to make Recovery discs, lable the first one as disc 2 or whatever you want to lable it as, as the Recovery disc creator first creates disc 2 then disc 1, also the provided McAfee Internet Security is only a 30 day trail period, which after that you'll need to buy it, but in saying that there is far better security applications such as eset Smart Security.
The hard drive is partitioned in to two drives in which are, C drive is 74.2GB and E drive is 73.3GB to which only 5.17GB of space is used for HDDRecovery is a waste of unused space.
Also I would recommend that you buy a card reader and also a SDHC SD 4GB or a SDHC Micro SD 4GB card to take advantage of ReadyBoost to boost the laptops performance
