i purchased a 42wlt66 in sept 06.at first picture was perfect,and i thought it was well worth the money,but then the picture started to ghost ,and there were vertical bars down the left and right side of screen.(different shade to rest of picture and very noticeable )my brother purchased same telly and had same problem.think carefully before buying this lcd as toshiba after sales service is non existent,if you do purchase this lcd take out extended warranty just in case.when telly is going well it is the best lcd on the market..

Let's start with the autosetup - easy to follow on-screen instructions that work - followed by a manual that is small, concise, clear and above all, accurate. A multitude of connections both input and output give flexibility if you have a variety of peripherals but the manual makes light work of what might otherwise be confusing.

Even before getting the HD signal the picture quality is superb and linking a Toshiba upscaling DVD player via HDMI blows your socks off.
The clarity of the image allows a wide choice of viewing distances from six inches (my grandson)to 20 feet (my wife whilst gardening).

Buy this one!

I looked at so many specs for the HD ready displays and im delighted with this choice. The 1080x1920 resolution is stunning. I work in the A/V industry and have seen many screen fall down in performance when it comes to action and fast moving images left to right and vice versa but the Toshiba handles action films with ease. I am using an up scaling DVD and inputting via HDMI and watching a DVD is a pleasure. Terrestrial TV is also very good. The price does not reflect the performance of this LCD TV I can't believe the quality for the money. I thought Tesco were selling it at a good price but thanks to Amazon I saved almost £() at time of purchase.
