I bought this to replace a LiteOn DVD/HDD recorder which didn't have freeview. Delivery was extremely quick (2 days), and set up was very easy.
The great advantages of this model, for me, are :
    - record any freeview digital tv channel
    - series recording
    - 1080p upscaling for my DVD collection - and this is immpressive!
    - PLENTY of HDD space (320Gb vs my earlier 80Gb), which means SP recording doesnt eat up space
    - watching DVD and recording a TV channel
    - pause and rewind live TV (esp. live sport)
    - alternative inputs

The model is easy to use and I highly recommend it. I considered other models but went for this one as gave best VFM, although noticed the Amazon price has now gone up £20.

Love it, love it, love it! So easy to use, I can select programmes to record in the same way my friends do with Sky, just click on the programme shown in the listings and that's it, it will record it. No chopping off the end of a good film like with timer recording (although it does have the facility if you wanted to use it). I can set 4 or 5 programmes in a matter of seconds ( I don't think there is a limit to the number you can set). It will record a series if required. When you select a programme that is coming back on later (with results for example) it will automatically select the results programme too. You can record all Freeview programmes. You don't have to worry about whether it is swtiched on or off it still records either way. Play back is easy, good picture, you can start watching the beginning of a programme while it continues to record the end. It comes up on screen what programme is on now and what is coming on next. My old DVD recorder had none of these facilities, so I am very pleased with it. I know from the manual it does lots of other things but I haven't used them yet (if ever) as I can record and play back and that is all I want to do.

    Amazon Verified Purchase
The manufacturer's description says that it comes with a bundled SCART lead. Not true. However, for best reproduction it is advisable to use an HDMI lead anyway. A smart looking and excellent DVD recorder with a large hard drive which enables SP recording for the best quality playback. I had previously been accustomed to Sony recorders so the presentation and control was a bit different but we soon got used to it. One irritating feature is not being able to swiftly scan through the Title List when looking for a particular recording. With such a large drive and the potential for having many, many recordings this is a major drawback. For that alone I have given it only 4 stars. The remote control is no more clunky than any other remote I have ever used and the instructions are no more difficult to understand than many other user guides.
