The good thing about this model are that it is amazingly light for machine with a DVD drive. Also the keyboard is pretty good - reasonably quiet and large enough for comfortable usage. I use it with a 22" Samsung monitor and it supports that really well via docking station.

The downsides are:

1. There is something weird with the mouse such that it causes the cursor to jump whilst typing. The best fix for that is to turn the mouse off (FN - F9).

2. The machine is bendy and that is not a big issue. But I feel that it may not last with the treatment I give it. I think the hinge on the screen is going to go. It just doesn't feel solid enough for the job.

3. Although it is pretty quiet unlike other Toshiba I have had, the fan is on all the time so it is never very quiet. Also it gets hot! If you leave it on in its case it gets very very hot and is probably a fire risk.

4. The Left shift key is in a weirdly left position. I am getting used to it but it should be one key to Right as such keys normally are.

5. The sound quality on the single mono speaker is terrible - tinny and quiet

However if you want a PC and you want a really light PC (I as do) then it is good - not sure if there is anything quite so light that still has the DVD drive.
