I wondered if needing two USB ports would be a pest, when I bought this, but it actually runs fine with just one plugged in, it's just a bit faster with two in, so I use two for moving stuff two and fro on it, then often use just one when using stuff on it, like watching a movie on it, so I can use my laptops other few USB sockets for other things at the same time.
So, if put off by it having two USB connectors, don't be. It's a good little 1TB hard drive and cheaper than the other USB powered, small external ones I checked out

I bought this hard drive to backup our two computers. It seems like a quality Toshiba external hard drive in a black brushed Aluminium casing & with huge storage capacity. As usual, I am very happy with Amazon's excellent packaging and prompt delivery.

This hard drive, together with it's little smart case is perfect for ensuring that all my info is safe. Small enough for my handbag, large enough to cope with loads of data. wish I'd got one years ago.... remembering the floppies, then carrying several flash sticks... life is so much better now!

Almost perfect

Solid little performer
Had the Toshiba Stor.E 1Tb Aluminium drive for a few days and it has really impressed. It is dead quiet, quick compared to my old Hitachi SimpleDrive Mini and a very nice design. Read more
