This laptop is great this is my first one and it is fantastic I use it mostly for surfing the web this laptop is very fast because of its huge memory. It hasn't broke down crashed froze or failed yet. I also use the built in webcam and mic for msn and the picture is very clear. This laptop is a must buy.

THIS IS A GREAT LAPTOP FOR THE MONEY. DURING THE 3 MONTHS
PREVIOUS I HAD PURCHASED NOT 1 BUT 2 SONY VAIO LAPTOPS!! THE FIRST ONE DEVELOPED A PROBLEM WITH THE HARD DRIVE 10 DAYS AFTER I BOUGHT IT .SO I HAD A REFUND AND RESEARCHED THE MARKET FURTHER BEFORE DECIDING TO BUY ANOTHER SONY VAIO THINKING IT WAS JUST BAD LUCK THAT MY FIRST PURCHASE WAS A DUD. HOWEVER JUST 14 DAYS AFTER BUYING IT MY SECOND VAIO DEVELOPED A PROBLEM WITH THE WEBCAM! THIS TIME I HAD ANOTHER REFUND AND VOWED NEVER TO BUY A SONY AGAIN!!! I WAITED A WHILE BEFORE SPOTTING THIS TOSHIBA SATELLITE L500-1DT AND ALTHOUGH IT WAS OVER £200 CHEAPER THAN THE VAIO THIS IS A CRACKING MACHINE AND I WOULDN`T SWAP IT FOR THE WORLD !!

I received my new Toshiba Notebook within 10 days of placing the order. Set-up was fairly straight forward.The new Windows 7 operating system is stable and the presentation on screen is excellent. It arrived with trial versions of McAfee Security and Windows Office 2007 Home and Student and includes Toshiba TEMPRO which provides all the necessary product info and on-line help including system and driver upgrades. The Notebook is very stylish and light in weight operates silently and meets my needs very well. No negative comments to mention to date and currently a pleasure to use.
