I wanted to replace a very old 6" frame that had started to get a pink tint. This was very easy to set up with a SD card of images and the clarity of the pictures is excellent. We can see pictures so much better than before.
One or two things however...
It does seem to have a strange 'feature' where some pictures only stay on screen for a second or two even if you've set the time to 30 seconds, etc, but we think that's funny and it seems to be different ones each time. I think it might be because my images are 1024 not 800 wide or maybe because they are on SD and not the device. I shall experiment, but it's not putting us off.
Also we are using this on a shelf, but be warned if you want to wall-mount it that the on-off button is on the back next to the hole for the screw and you would have to remove it from the wall to use this switch.

Bought two for my sons at Xmas, both really pleased. One son had looked to buy a digital frame, and was disappointed with the clearness of his pictures, but was really impressed with the clarity of this. He opened the box, didnt even read instructions, and got it up and running in minutes. I am now going to buy one. The frame looks good, and stylish.

We purchased one of these Toshiba 8" models prior to Christmas 2009 and was very happy with the product. It is so good we have purchased another at an even better price in March 2010. The picture quality is excellent. Setup is quite easy and straightforward. Bring out your favourite digital pictures and enjoy them. Highly recommended.

Bought a few inferior digital frames in the past and returned them all and then i saw this and being a fan of Toshiba's electrical products i thought it was worth a punt.
I was not disappointed and can highly recommend this great item.

Warning - DISCONTINUED product line
I think the tablet PC has pretty much made these things redundant, especially in terms of cost for what you get.
There are quite a few variation of digital photo frames but I chose this one because I liked the look of the interface.

Gigaframe Q80

+ fairly simple and intuitive touch buttons
+ highly compatible with different file formats
+ looks the part with good 800 x 600 screen resolution and wide view angle
+ has a brightness setting for controlling how much juice this things consumes
+ all images are auto scaled to fit screen
+ USB PC interface (acts as mass storage)

- can't add a video sequence into the slide show
- Has no switch-off timer (L80) or light sensor (Q81 or L81)
- no upgrade/update options
- slide show does NOT auto resume removing the option for an external timer switch

Get the Gigaframe L80 if you like its style and really want the timer function, but it will cost a bit more.
