This does exactly what it claims. I have transferred video onto dvd. Record from freeview whilst watching dvds and.. Got free packs of ten recordable dvds from Good Ideas. Had a little difficulty setting the machine but both Good Ideas and Toshiba customer service were excellent.

Good Machine 20 Nov 2011
By GD
Does exactly as I wanted - records from its own "Freeview" tuner to Tape or DVD and tranfers VHS to DVD. Fairly easy to set up, even for an oldie - follow the instructions carefully!
Easy to record TV in advance - from pop up list or manually - clock is set and updated automatically, so you don't miss any of your recording!
