This is a great external hard drive for those people who just want some extra disc space for all those files, photos and music. Very easy to install it onto a PC or laptop. Is USB powered as well which means no seaching for power supply. Highly recommended
Product works perfectly. Excellent condition, quick delivery and so on. Absolutely no problems, whatsoever. Tad disappointed that you lose 35GB with pre-loaded software or whatever it is, but that's not overly important.
This little drive looks great and is really simple to use. The only drawback is the need to use two usb ports to power it up, although this beats having to use a power supply! Highly recommend this drive.
Ideal small hard drive with loads of storage space. It plugged in and worked straight away with the USB. There is a second lead to plug into another USB if it doesn't work with one, but it did. Not the cheapest but it does what it is meant to with no fuss or bother.
This drive is one of about 3 or 4 in the portable (no A/C needed) 500GB bunch currently on Amazon. I bought this because it was the cheapest.
Drive information: 125x70x11 mm (approx) Filesystem: FAT32 Drive size: 456GB Software: Manual and Macfee 30 day trial (1.2GB on drive)
The FAT32 was good for me as i plan on using it with my PS3. There should be some indication of the dimensions and filesystem on the product desciption though.
Kinda annoyed that it isnt actually 500GB in size when formatted. Might try a reformat and see what comes of it. Overall though a good product. Looks stylish, very small and easy to use. Works right out the box on Windows and Linux. USB cable is a bit odd but nothing worth losing sleep over.
I have had this item for a couple of years now along with other portable hard drive and not had any problems with them so far *touch wood*
This was bought a few years ago since writing this review (May 13) so I suspect there are Hard Drives out there which larger capacity. But 500GB isn't too bad when the PC I used in the late 90s had a little over 5GB total hard drive space!
A plug-in and go hard drive. Requires no fancy installations. Does exactly what it says on the tin.
