I bought this a few weeks ago, its very nice. The picture is good, only 50HZ but i didn't particularly notice motion blur during the world cup final which was a nice suprise. The volume doesn't go very high and the speakers are poor. Apart from that the tv is great, nice remote, good EPG, BBCHD, ITVHD, CHANNEL4HD and BBC1HD. It takes a few secs for HD channels to appear but apart from that, the sound quality and volume level problems its great.

I've tried bluray on it, freeview hd and it works nicely. Uses quite alot less power compared to most brands which is nice.

Seperate speakers would eliminate the poor sound and remove the relatively low volume problem. Will save up for some decent 5.1 speakers.

Firmware is upgradable via Ethernet cable or via the tv aerial, searching for updates via the tv aerial takes quite a while. You need to disable 1 of the ethernet options i found in order for it to be able to connect to the server. There was no update available when i tried btw.

The stand swivels about 30 degrees btw, which is handy if you have chairs at different sides of the room, you can aim it towards you if no-one is at that side of the room.

Would have been nice to have red/yellow/white connectors on the back aswell as the side as my mum doesn't like the Wii cables plugged in all the time, there's none on the back so i plug them in the side as and when needed.

Regarding the person who said there's no difference between SD and Freeview HD, he needs some glasses, the difference is massive, even 12 feet away with fairly poor eyesight.

We've been looking to upgrade from our old Sony CRT for some time and I have been browsing reviews, forums and technical reviews. In the end it was a toss up between a Sony 403 or the Tosh. Nearly all of our viewing right now is SD, and from what I have read the Resolution+ makes this the best upscaling TV of the two. Also, some of the professional reviewers mentioned that Tosh use some top factory panels in certain sets in this range.

After a nightmare with CityLink couriers (Amazon were great, but ought to ditch CityLink pdq) we finally set it up, and have to say it is stunning. The sound is every bit as good as our old Sony CRT and happily goes up to a volume level which would upset the neighbours. We cannot hear any backlight buzz. So I'm sorry I cannot agree with the other reviewers who marked it down for sound or buzz.

The set up out of the box was easy. Plug it in, let it autotune, and off you go. "Simples" as the meercat says.

There's loads of connectivity (we really needed 2 scarts which LG and Samsung just don't seem to do), and with the full HD capability we feel this TV is well future-proofed.

From what I can see there are loads of display tweaking options, along with some pre-sets for non techies among us. I will probably have to spend some time fiddling with the colour, brightness, contrast etc but I think that is true of most TVs these days.

It isn't too chunky, looks far more expensive than it is (well, Amazon's price is really good isn't it) and was quite easy to put together with all the connectors easy to access.

So, I have to say this is a fabulous family TV and unless you are going to fork out silly money for the latest whistles and bells it will be hard to beat.
