First thing we noticed is the slow response to any command from the remote. It takes a couple of seconds to react and change screen and/or channel. Annoying.

There are some of the on-demand services that just won't function (e.g. ITV's player).

The internet access is annoying because all the typing of URLs needs to be done via the screen using the remote.

We can't access the BT Sport channels on-line because they need a specific type flash player plug-in that doesn't seem to be available for the Linux operating system used by the TV.

Apart from those niggles, it does the job of a TV.

Bought this TV for 3 reasons,
To watch TV, Netflix and play videos from my network.
It does TV very well, as you would expect. Toshiba has earned a good name in our house and the build, ease of use and picture quality have not disappointed, even compared to a full HD Regza set.
Netflix, although slow to start, also works very well. All features supported.
Music plays fine, even though the interface is dated and the folders are slow to load, it's quite usable.
Playing video from networked devices though, even connected via LAN is a non starter.
Slow to load, awkward to change device and terribly unreliable if it does start.
Longest I had a video play was 7mins. To make matters worse, when the video stops it exits 'smart' mode and returns to TV. Then your required to navigate the (slow) menu again, where your video starts from the beginning.
So I will be attaching a dlna player via one of the many inputs, and probably be happy.
I read the reviews on smart tv's, so I got pretty much what I expected. Hence, 4 stars.

I purchased the Toshiba 32 inch Smart TV for elderly mum. The initial set up needed some help from me as she does not see too well, but once the mainly automatic set up was done she soon, within the hour, had the navigation of the features sorted and can now use the features without my help.

This TV is amazing, the Wi-Fi is very easy to link to your broadband and offers the choice of either wired or wireless. The picture is sharp and the sound from this set is excellent. The connections for additional equipment are easily accessed at the rear of the set with additional connections on the side. You can even pair your tablet to the TV!

Overall the price and quality of the TV is first class and I would highly recommend the set

I purchased this TV from another outlet but I feel I need to let people know that the TV is very good apart from a network issued (wireless) its really unstable. It losses the settings all over the place and thats when it does accept it, the end result is the Smart feature become useless.
The picture quality is pretty good and the menu is pretty good (a little bit slow but many are).

I downloaded the latest updates and still no better so until Toshiba sorts this out (this review is dated 09/09/13) and you really want wireless Smart TV functionality your probably best buying another brand I'm afraid.
