We needed a tv for our bedroom and having installed it and used it for a couple of weeks we are delighted with the looks, picture quality and ease of setup.
Only quibbles - the controller is sometimes rather direction sensitive, particularly when powering on. This might just be due to a delay before it even acknowledges the request. Sound is fine but we just have it in a bedroom so not a demanding environment.

I am very,very pleased with the TV set ~ BUT ~ the remote control is about as much good as a chocolate teapot !!
It can take up to ten "gos" to get the remote to activate.
Such a pity that this small component part lets the whole package down so badly.
The three stars are given to reflect this ~ as otherwise i would give the TV itself 5 stars.

As another reviewer has already pointed out this TV has a weak point which makes it a questionable purchase, namely the remote control. It has a habit of freezing up the TV and when that happens the only remedy is to disconnect it from the mains and then plug it back in, which negates the whole point of a remote.
It's a shame because the rest of the package is perfectly OK. It's incredibly convenient to have a DVD player built into the TV instead of having another box with more wires everywhere. It's a good size for a small room, the screen is OK apart from being too glossy and it's not heavy.
However due to the constant problems with the remote this was a poor buy and will probably have to be replaced before much longer with something that actually works properly.
Update: over Christmas this horrible device seized up altogether so it's been downgraded to one star. I have requested a return and refund.
