I brought this tv from Amazon in early October 2010 after seeing they had it a good £50+ cheaper than anywhere else I could find. Whilst I know Toshiba aren't perhaps the best LCD TV manufacturer out there they are at least a recognized brand so I thought the purchase would be a safe bet.
The look of the set is great - hi-gloss white and a good size. Picture quality appears to be good and it was very easy to set up. DVD seems to work fine too, so no problems there - HOWEVER the major disappointment for us was the Freeview guide. I've used freeview on many LCD's before and they've always been ok. Fair enough the channels can take a little longer to change etc, but thats generally accepted with freeview however the guide on this TV is VERY VERY poorly designed. You bring up the guide to see what's on now and next and it opens over about 3/4 of the screen. Then as soon as you try to scroll down the menu to see what else is on the other channels the channel in the background changes as you flick (even though you can't see it, so what's the point!??!) but more annoying than this is that it means it freezes for about 3-4 seconds every time. Might not seem much but trust me, its very frustrating, and i've not seen this feature work in this way on any other LCD before. Poor stuff and it really does effect the user experience of this set - it just makes things hard work and a struggle. What they were thinking I don't know.
Seemed a bargain at first, but the poor design of a fairly significant features means ultimately I would have probably rather purchased another LCD/DVD combi on reflection.
