I bought this for the convenience of a tv with integral dvd player. First impressions were good, it was well packaged and a doddle to set up. The stand was already fitted so no messing about needed there either.
As soon as you've plugged it in it takes you through the steps as others have described. It tuned in to all the digital channels available in my area in about 3-4 minutes. After this, it offered the option of tuning into analogue channels which I didn't do as analogue has already been switched off where I am.
In use I have found the picture quality to be very good. It has 3 default settings you can switch between but you can change any one of them to suit your taste. Personally I found them all unrealistically bright and colour saturated. On adjusting them (mainly the contrast level) the picture quality and watchability improved immensely. (Why do all manufacturers make the defaults so bright?)
Sound is perfectly acceptable considering the size of the set and again can be adjusted to preference.
DVD is a smooth operator and has the usual functions. It also has very good picture quality.
Any downsides? Well, the manual could be better written but there is nothing really complicated here anyway. Some of the remote buttons are small and difficult to read. The buttons on the tv itself are limited, very small and are around the back. You wouldn't want to lose the remote!
Overall for me, the downsides are trivial and outweighed by the overall quality so I give it the full five stars.
