I was looking for a TV with built in Freeview as a present for my wife to put in our bedroom, which has white walls everywhere. I didn't want a TV that stood out against the walls in the bedroom, so I plumped for the Toshiba. (I did read reviews of the TV and checked that it was a good bit of kit, but the white surround was the clincher.)

The bad news - it's a bit slow switching on and changing channel - at least compared to other TVs I've used. Apart from that, it's a great TV.

Once it's up and running, the pictures are excellent and the sound is good. It fits right into the bedroom decor nicely and is a fantastic second TV - especially as it's a flat screen, so there's no hulking monster sitting on the dressing table.

If you just want great pictures and to watch a bit of tele in bed, this comes highly recommended. (If you're after the best of the best, this isn't it.)

Good TV, good price, good looker, good buy.

This item was in stock, but delivery changed to 6 weeks after I ordered it. When I went to cancel the order delivery was then immediate.

The sound quality of this TV is poor. I expected better of Toshiba.
It sounds like the speaker is in a sandwich box.
Also, changing channels is slow.
