TOP 500 REVIEWERon 24 July 2012
I wanted to hold back on writing a review for this title because i have an interest (i wrote 2 of the Tales).

So i will avoid mine and say that in this book you have tales from the fantastic A J Armitt, who has his own ebook Entwined - Tales from the City - 13 Dark & Twisted Tales which is an amazing read. He brings that experience and also from Tortured Hearts 1 & 2 to bear in this book to give a great deal of depth and suspense to his tale.

Also S J A Turney: one of a fantastic handful of self published Roman Fiction authors and one that very much stands at the forefront of that rank. His writing easily good enough for a mainstream publisher and i don't think that far from being picked up by a major publishing house. His books are all here Tales of Ancient RomeInterregnum (Tales of the Empire)Marius' Mules: The Invasion of Gaul and many others

The other authors have surprised, amazed and scared me a little with how good they are, and how much i have to live up to.
None of this would have been possible if not for Cass Collins (Editor).

While my name is first on the list of contributors, I've just one story among the many in this anthology and have not personally met any of the other authors.
As with Tortured Hearts volumes 1 and 2, the stories are varied in subject and style but each races along with an account of the drastic actions which love leads the protagonists to take. Sometimes the reader might develop a suspicion about the eventual outcome, sometimes not, but either way each author brings satisfaction at the end of the story, even though it may cause a sharp intake of breath. Interest is maintained throughout by changes of style, pace and setting, as well as methods for the dreaded deed.
The book is a most entertaining read, and although thankfully most of us wouldn't take these paths ourselves, we are carried along with the stories and easily accept the outcomes. So for readers who appreciate how complex love can be, and who like action, fear, revenge, murder and a dash of mystery in their stories, I 'heartily' recommend this collection.

OK, first up, I`ve got a story in there, so hands up, and all that.

I do have to comment though, with regard to my fellow authors and their excellent prose. In this volume we have three new writers who have added depth and quality to the series, so stand up and take a bow, Robin, Megan and Jac. In my opinion the work produced gets better, with each release and the old hands keep coming up trumps with high standard material that begs to be read.

So take a look, you will not regret it.

Love these books of short stories.
This is the 3rd in the tortured hearts series, and this was every bit as good as the previous two
Please keep on writing these books, as I am running out of enjoyable reading material.

Good selection of short stories ideal as bedtime reads for those with twisted minds. Have bought the first two books.
