Product Description

Product Description

Tortoise George is not very fast and most of the time he comes in last. The mouse ran off and ate the cheese leaving none for George, but she pays the price ... Tortoise George is a very colourful book all about his journey through the woods to find something tasty to eat. Along the way he meets a mouse who seems friendly at first, but then shows quiet greedy behaviour. The book helps to teach that it's not good to be greedy, and that being slow and steady is a much better approach.

From the Publisher

This is the first title to be published by Smallfish Books. We are very proud of our first book and will be publishing our second title very soon.

We shall also be publishing the second instalment of Tortoise George late in the year.

From the Author

Ever since I was a child I have been writing poetry and lyrics. I have also been an avid painter since about 1986. Upon the birth of my son I found myself writing stories for him. I think it was the channelling of my creative outlet into one goal, to produce stories that were fun, re-readable over and over, and which had a moral element.

I enjoyed the switch from the canvas to the mac to illustrate the book and am already working on three more books.

About the Author

This is Neil Irani's first book although he has been writing lyrics and poetry for many years. Born in England, Neil has lived in The Hague, Paris, New York and Sydney.
