This is a very effective book for beginners of the subject, it gives aclear and concise introduction into the law of tort. If you are not abeginner and are looking for something a little more involved andacademic, I would not recommend it, however, for a first year law student(whether at university or college) this book is a perfect starting point.

Format:Paperback
This book contains more user-friendly and approachable text on the law of torts than other recommended books i.e, Tort Law by Lunney & Oliphant. Albeit not as detailed as the aforementioned book, it is a much easier read, particularly for students new to law, who are going straight in at degree level. My only criticism of this book is that it does not contain as much detail on judgments given in cases, whereas lunney & oliphant provide excellent case extracts to emphasise their learning text.

Another good buy is the blackstones study pack for tort law - but beware.... only buy this in addition to other text books if you are going to actually work through the self-assessment questions, otherwise spend your money on the larger, more complex textbooks as you will be rewarded with better detail and alternative viewpoints.

A great book! 5 Sep 2003

Format:Paperback
This is an excellent book - it breaks down the core components of tort down into clear manageable sections, and explains difficult concepts clearly and simply. Extremely useful for students embarking on an LLB.
