This clever British invention attaches to your garden hose and the water pressure creates a venturi effect, which sucks up any dirt and debris.
This collects in a re-useable muslin bag, allowing the clean water to pass through. The pond debris makes useful garden fertiliser.

I bought one of these elsewhere recently and wish I hadn't bothered. Setting the thing up is easy enough, but it's not worth the effort. A 10 minute workout on my pond dredged out just over a teaspoonful of muck.
The leaflet included does state that water pressure should be at least 5psi for the Pondvac to work (10psi recommended). My pond is within sight of the local reservoir and pumping station where water pressure isn't a problem, so I doubt very much if this gadget would work at all in most locations. Using the old thumb over the end of a pipe trick would be more effective.

Totaly useless device and did contact the manufacturer about it. The first problem is that no matter how good your water pressure is it simply does not vacuum anything and the net hangs down into the water blocking the exit hole on the vacuum not as shown in the photo of the product. It makes no difference if you hold the bag up anyway. I cannot recommend this product so dont bother wasting your time buying it as sending it back is just as irritating as it not working properly. I have bought a Tornado vacuum from Amazon and it works brilliantly.
