A very well organised and easy to work with book, enabling students to learn vocabulary by topics, with the translation of each word or expressions.

This a superb book for improving fluency in German, giving you a wide range of vocabulary enabling you to communicate about contemporary issues.
The 30 chapters are split into three sections: specific topics, social topics and political topics. At the beginning of each chapter there are 10 sample questions of the type used for Advanced level essay questions or for a debate. Then it lists keywords by nouns, adjectives and verbs or verb phrases, relating to the topic, it even gives the past participle and whether the verb takes a specific case. At the end of the chapter it has a number of illustrative sentences showing the German in use with its English translation.
'Topics, Questions, Keywords' provides tremendous help for the student of German. Similar books give you vocabulary but not an insight into how it is used, whereas this book gives you everything you need.
