The 'Key Topics' series in anaesthesia include titles in Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Chronic Pain. All three of these books are essential learnig aids for the Anaesthetic Post Graduate Exams, both in the UK and Ireland. All have concise and accurate topic reviews, not usually longer than a page or two, and make frequent reference to 'best practice' and scientific studies. Topics are arranged in alphabetical order, making them easy to reference, and are well categorised, thus forming an excellent basis for a structure to VIVA and SAQ questions. The range of material covers all essential topics for the respective subjects in the training syllabus. Those involved in training candidates for the exam will also find these books a useful 'refresher' and reference for formulating practice exam questions.
These books are a superb, easy to read summary of the vast subject of clinical anaesthesia.
