Everyone has an opinion on bad cars... now it's time to hear the ones that really count--ours...

As it's the worst car in the history of the WORLD, we're on our travels ... to the North of England ... to name and shame the most rubbish car from a manufacturer which, frankly, should have known better. But, it's not all about hateful cars ... Oh no. You have to revel in some good ones to appreciate the stinkers. There's the Ferrari 458 spider, Toyota's GT86 and the £340,000 Lexus LFA rubbing shoulders with a Mercedes SLS.

Our guest driver, The Stig's Yorkshire cousin, puts his whippet to one side and throws a BMW M5 round a gymkhana course before we have a go in a couple of Transatlantic challengers. Things don't go well. We spend treasured leisure time on the golf course continuing our debate. That doesn't go well either. We even put our own cars--past and present--into the reckoning. That ends badly too.

We argue over the great and the awful from Peugeot, Ford, Mahindra, FSO, Alfa Romeo, Rolls Royce, Porsche, Citroen, Saab ... and many more. And we have a special, surprise fate in store for the car we
pick as our biggest loser...

Enjoy... Jeremy Clarkson & James May

Anyone who says that this DVD is the same as other Top Gear DVDs is wrong. This DVD is excellent, Jeremy is funny on his own but put him with James May & the DVD is twice as good & funny. The ending of the DVD especially brought a smile to my face, top class. This DVD is excellent & if you like Top Gear in any form DVD or show, you will love this DVD. Its filled with the same humour, quotes & wit that is associated with Top Gear. Top Gear is always brilliant when they mix old, rubbish cars with new, performance cars. Brilliant, you won't be disappointed. If you are, you don't understand Top Gear. The End.

If your going to go in search of the worlds worst car,I suppose Whitby is as good a place to go looking for it as any other. This time out its Jeremy and James fronting the,out in time on DVD for christmas, special, and as you would expect from these two, they spend as much time bickering as they do driving.Their search for automotive crapness takes in some truly terrible cars, and some frankly surprising ones, not to mention a few that commit the ultimate sin of being bland. As you would expect,if not demand, there are plenty of madcap stunts, and driving exotic motors to the limit. To be fair Whitby does provide an excellent back drop,or rather the undulating roads, and rolling, heather coverd moors do.This is probably the best of the Top Gear Christmas DVD releases that have cropped up over the past few years,as its the one that is most like the programme, which means the humour is back, which the others did sadly lack.Dedicated petrol heads,of which I am one will love it,and as such it will make an excellent stocking filler, seeing as there is no Clarkson DVD this year.

If you want any more reasons to buy it how about this one,you get to see James diving a Ford GT,while Jeremy is tied to a tree.

One of the best Top Gear DVD episodes, even better than you think considering Hammond isn't in it.
They do go through some awful cars but don't worry Vauxhall Vectra owners you are not the worst, but you were pretty close. xD

Features the two main guys as they aspire to be witty as they discuss vehicles. At times insightful as they drive super cars on the test track and show the cars in slow motion. Various vehicles from different parts of the world are considered. When they have the racecar driver put a BMW through a course and then compare that to a '70's Lincoln and a '70's Buick I had to wonder.

When one guy bad-mouths a Ford GT I was done. It is what it is. Occasional insight into vehicles.

It would seem that Top Gear has taken a bit of a breather recently. I mean, despite the amazing spectacle of Top Gear Live 2012, Richard Hammond presenting the Top Gear: 50 Years of Bond Cars Special back in October, and the odd bit for Children in Need, there's been no full series of Top Gear since March last year. There was no Christmas Special recently (which is understandable given that the previous one in India was truly rubbish), and the new series is only just about to start after a long absence.

Oh, and of course, there's this latest Yuletide DVD release from the lads. Previous years we had Hamster & Captain Slow presenting Apocalypse and At The Movies; home video exclusives that were ultimately average, despite sporting one or two really great ideas/antics. On paper, The Worst Car in the History of the World doesn't sound as exciting as the premises of Apocalypse or At The Movies, but in execution, it's a far superior DVD exclusive. In fact, this is the best Yuletide release Top Gear has bought out, as it's much closer to Top Gear form than recent exploits.

With Richard busy doing the 50 Years of Bond Cars Special, it falls to Jeremy and James to head off to...Whitby to muck around...I mean, commence with `important research' to determine which truly is the worst car to have ever been created.

Whereas Apocalypse and At The Movies felt too ambitious, too staged, and too desperate in trying to force out laughs/entertainment, THIS Top Gear DVD feels much more relaxed. Clarkson and May are just being their usual, natural hilarious selves, as opposed to when Hammond & May were (at times) struggling to produce worthwhile material.
