3.0 out of 5 stars Quality lacking in this version 25 Mar 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
We still have our old Thelwell books round the place but i jumped at the chance to have a dog one as well. In this copy, the drawings are badly reproduced. A lot of Thelwell's lovely line is besmirched by thick, furry print. It is not a good enough reproduction, especially when compared to our older books. I know the drawings are getting old but this is just crappy. The cartoons themselves are as clever as ever!

5.0 out of 5 stars The dog psyche explained .. in pictures for human comprehension 9 Jan 2007
By Jennifer Cameron-Smith - Published on
This was a gift from a wonderful friend and fellow canine appreciator. Simply, Thelwell is a comic genius. Those of us who support dogs (ownership is not an appropriate term) know how accurately some of these situations are depicted.

Dogs are many things. But not stupid. If you are tempted to question this, just remember who goes out to earn the money to buy the food to feed the dog. I rest my case.

Book was delivered on time and in very good condition. It contains humorous drawings with captions underneath. The humor is very dry, but I think American dog lovers can enjoy it as well.
