Richard Shelton is Dr Adam Forsythe in Emmerdale, where his character falls in love with a murderess, played by Loraine Chase. It will be a main story line and Richard will be on national TV about 4/5 days a week between November and Christmas. Richard, who will be featured in a forthcoming "Celebrity Stars In Your Eyes", was one of the stars of the stage show Rat Pack Confidential, in which he gave a sensational portrayal of Sinatra. Now he has produced a storming modern day swing album, recorded at Abbey Road studios with a 65 piece orchestra, featuring arrangements by Pete Long, with a fine mix of swing classics, standards and originals. An extremely impressive new album.Richard Shelton has produced a luscious collection of songs - some new and some old.His smooth voice is accompanied by exquisite orchestral backing and stunning arrangements.It was a particular thrill to hear "topcat" and the ballads by Martin Newell are beautiful new additions to the repertoire.The production of this album has great finnesse and it is a joy to have in my collection.I would recommend it highly to all - there is something for everyone.Please give us more!

What an amazing album!
I have never heard anything like it before and that's saying something for a serious fan of all things swing.
Perfectly in keeping with the popular taste for retro - which has captured the imagination of all from Mr Williams to Mr Callum -"Top Cat" manages to distil the spirit of the genre and yet go one step beyond. It presents us with the kind of rarely-if-ever heard, rich-as-satin magnificience of big band orchestration thanks to the wizardry of Mr Pete Long, as an awesome backdrop for the fulsome power of Mr Richard Shelton's vocal delivery (rather than 'smooth as chocolate' think 'deep mocha laced with rum' or even Havana Club 7 for those in the know! Truely a modern masterpiece and production triumph that the fats cats of 40s Hollywood would have been proud to put a name to.
Definitely one for the collectors of 21st century classics.

This is a mega production! Absolutely seemless. Worth all the rest of the retro rat pack put together. All it really needs now is a big screen accompaniment. Bring on Ava! Highly recommended
