Very much written with the UK job market in mind and the answers are less 'gushing' than the American targeted book I also bought. Nicely structured and easy to navigate with about 50 competency based questions which I found really useful.

Found this book to be simply excellent and in fact I put my success in getting my last job down to this book.
I am one of those people who dreads the interview but I found this guide to be a real bonus; its full of all the advice about what to do before and in the interview and of course what to say. Its a chunky book as there is so much in it, - each answer is really detailed!
Pretty much all of the questions I was asked were in the book like tell me about yourself and what are your strengths but also lots of competency type questions which didnt come up so much in my interview but good to know for the next one! I will certainly use it next time I have an interview.

I found this book really useful and I believe it helped me to get the job offer. I was being interviewed for a Government post and in a Competency Interview and found the advice to be spot on.
I was a little put off by previous comments and bought this alongside the Robin Kessler book however found this one to be much better and also better for the UK job market.
Really well written, excellent questions and answers and very much in touch with the current recruitment market.
Happy to recommend.

Outdated,not enough info for Competency Interviews
Please note when considerng this book it was first printed in 2006 and the info contained in this book is outdated for the 2011/2012 job market and the compentency interview. Read more

Useful Book
I found this book very useful although I still couldn't find a job but at least it prepared me for interviews. Most of the interview questions are covered in this book.
