U.K. Distributor Rock candy have gained the rights to re-issue Tooth and nail on CD
all tracks have been given a new 24 bit remastering mix
and i tell you what the sound quality is amazing, very nice bass & treble mix on all tracks
the old Rhino CD was no remastered at all, it sounded terrible & flat

it doesn't stop there
Rock candy have added 2 new bonus tracks a single edit of Just got Lucky & a LIVE track from Japan
plus a new 16 page booklet on the making of Tooth and nail which has new retrospective interviews with Don Dokken & other members
plus rare photos in the booklet aswell
Rock candy have also given the same 24 bit remastering treatment with other Dokken albums from the 80's
BREAKING THE CHAIN, TOOTH AND NAIL, UNDER LOCK & KEY AND BACK FOR THE ATTACK which was just released on CD
these 4 Dokken albums also have new 16 page booklets containing new interviews with Don Dokken
sadly only some of the albums have been given bonus tracks
TOOTH AND NAIL, BACK FOR THE ATTACK have the bonus tracks
for some reason Breaking the chain, Under lock & key don't have any
but nethertheless it's time to upgrade to new remastered Dokken, scrap the old Rhino cd versions
5 stars for this classic album, and 5 stars for this new re-issue by Rock candy based on the sound quality & new booklet

this album is one of the best that Dokken have ever released. The album released in 1984 holds the best gutar solo track "without warning" by Goerge Lynch and the theme to "Nightmare on elm street 3 the dream warriors" track "into the fire" which is the opening track on the "one live night" album from 1998. out of all the Dokken albums i give this 2nd place to "one live night".

This record has everything. George Lynch shredding for all he's worth. From the opening chords of without warning to the searing riffs of Turn up the Action, there are no fillers here whatsoever.

How it never sold 20 million records we will never know. Maybe a touch too much blusher?

This is definitive Dokken, as they used to say back then . . . . buy or die.
