My husband tried for a whole morning, with a cold chisel and hammer, to remove some 1970s bathroom tiles and got nowhere fast, a new approach was definitely called for. Got the hammer drill out and bought the cranked tile remover. Absolutely brilliant. Took the tiles and their adhesive off like the proverbial knife through butter. The whole bathroom was tile free by the end of the day, about 7.5sq metres in total.
Mind you, he had to regrind the chisel edge to a single face edge instead of the standard double edge. It was then lent to his brother who had an even worse tiling nightmare, and it solved that too with no problems.
The chisels edge has not lost any of its sharpness ,and now awaits its next assignment.

Very pleased with this item, it was a fraction of the price that I would have paid at other tool outlets, and the quality is perfectly adequate for the amount of use it will get (I only have a kitchen and bathroom to strip the tiles from!)

Bought this to take up my existing kitchen floor tiles. This product worked a treat on the 10 square metres of flooring i had to remove. I mainly used it to take up all the adhesive that was left on the concrete floor, after removing the bulk of the tiles and adhesive with a hammer a bolster. It did exactly what i wanted from it and as cheap as chips.!

Pretty good but needs modification for best use

Good enough
This works well and is especially good with floor tiles, havent needed to sharpen it yet but looks possible. Can save you a lot of elbow grease/lost knuckles/shattered thumbs. Read more

Tile Removing Chisel
