Product Description

`Laugh out loud funny,' said Golf World. This is a book about people who lose balls, clubs, tempers and, on occasion, the course they're supposed to be playing; people who feel they are doing well if the ball they hit on the 18th green is the same ball they drove off the first tee. `Anyone who has played golf - or tried to play golf - will find this addictive book unputdownable. Highly recommended.'

Synopsis

There are plenty of golf books which describe how to hold a club or cure a hook. (And much good may they do you.) There are hundreds, probably thousands, of books describing the glorious careers of golfers who have made fortunes out of doing wonderful things with small white balls. This is neither an instructional book nor a book about a golfing superstar; this is a book about people who feel that they are doing well if the ball they hit on the 18th green is the same ball they drove off the first tee. "Too Many Clubs And Not Enough Balls" is a novel about people who lose balls, clubs, tempers and, on occasion, the course they're supposed to be playing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Golf for the ignorant 13 May 2014

a fascinating account of a golfer's life. Interesting characters, a bit like James Herriot learns to play golf. Didn't tempt me to take up golf but I will certainly read more by this author!

4.0 out of 5 stars Bedtime Golf 2 May 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A very humorous account of your make believe snobbish golf club with tongue in cheek pen portraits of true to life members who have taken up sport late in life who have no idea of the true values of sportsmanship .

Thoroughly enjoyed and laughed out loud at all the OTT antics of the characters.
Loved some of the "most important things to know" about playing golf.
I've already bought another by this author (not golf related) and I'm sure I'll buy more.
