I had already read Shaken and Stirred and found this book to be miles better. I understand that this is the authors first book and it was a really good read.
Very easy to get into, the characters were well drawn out, however I couldn't quite sympathise with the main character Stephanie. She seemed a bit of a ballbreaker! Supporting characters did the job well enough for me.
The story moves along at a very fast rate and this is perfect for reading on long, cold wintry nights in front of the fire.
Don't expect any surprises or twists in the tale (its fairly predictable) but buy this if you enjoy books by Irish female authors.

I think there's only really one thing that makes a great writer...it's the ability to tell a story. Collette has it. I've read all her books. I read them because the story is always terrific. Sometimes, you can read a book that has a great plot, or maybe great charachters, or maybe great writing....but none of these things are any use on their own. It's a good story that always wins readers hearts. This heart was won over long ago. This is another great story, but you can buy any Collette Caddle book and be guaranteed an interesting storyline, so get buying!!
