New Boyz at their best 21 May 2011
By Yeaabuddyy - Published on Amazon.com
I actually received the album 4 days before it came out as a gift from Warner Bros. music...and I am so glad I did. Before Too Cool to Care, I only listened to You're a Jerk, Tie Me Down and Backseat by New Boyz (I never really looked into them). After this album, it made me such a big fan of them.

Literally each song is a great hit, and no song from this album dissapoints. Great hooks, great verses, great beats are all elements in each song and it makes it impossible to choose a favorite from this masterpiece.

Personally, my top 5 would probably be Better With the Lights Off, Crush On You, Start Me Up, Zonin', and Backseat.

Others that I definitely think is worth mention is Porn Star, Magazine Girl, Active Kings, I Don't Care, Meet My Mom and Break My Bank. That right there is almost the whole CD! So you can see how hard it is to say what is the best. I GUARANTEE you that if you love hip hop/pop/rap, you will find more than one great banger in this album.

So I definitely reccomend this album, especially right now at only $8.00! Soon you'll be feelin' Too Cool to Care as well.

I Love New Boyz 22 May 2011
By A. Watson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Ok so I was wondering how would this album sound. Especially when I heard they weren't making jerking music this time either. I wasn't nervous but just curious about what type of music they would make. Once I heard "Backseat" I couldn't wait to here the rest of their cd. Well, I finally purchased it yesterday and I wasn't disappoitned at all.I love the whole cd. Some of my faves are "better with the lights off","Acktive", as well as "Nobody". Its a great cd and if you love the new boyz I would definetly recommend that you buy their latest cd.
NEW BOYZ DELIVER THE MOVES 13 Nov 2011
By Funk Kraft - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
They may be boyz, but they're definitely making tunes that deliver. Benjamin and Thomas combine to form New Boyz and release their second album "Too Cool to Care." Coming out big in 2009, New Boyz released "Skinny Jeanz and a Mic" with a descent following and even sneaking into Billboard with the hit "You're a Jerk."

"Too Cool to Care" is a pace above "Skinny Jeanz" effort and abandons the "jerkin" aspect, or atleast the dancing gigg that became widely popular.
Benjamin and Thomas do well with combining hip-hop rhymes with rock flavored electric pop and its a sound that is largely in charge of the music scene right now. With Black Eyed Peas not too far distanced in the background of influence and a hint of Far East Movement, this album has a fast pace that will make ya move to the beat and keep strong hooks in your head for the day.

"Crush On You" has a catchy beat occupied with a tense whistle in the background that meshes well with the flow and lyrics.

"Active Kings" is a mean track that could vibe a basketball game during crunch time while "I Don't Care" puts the vocals to test and even dabbles with a Drake performance.

"Backseat" probably holds to be a highlight to the album as the beat keeps it simple but yet irresistable occupied with a good simple hook.

"Meet My Mom" brings some laughs and charm while "Better With The Lights Off" echoes the same but with probably more laughs on the chorus- "you look better with the lights off"!

"Too Cool To Care" brings many more jems to the table to make a complete album that doesn't fall too short of gas. Even though the intro of "Tough Kids" opens with a questionable sound and vanguard impression, the rest of the album sounds stout and combines many flavors of music for this project. Impressive album from these "boys" and this could only mean that there's much more good tunes from them in the future!
