We bought this toy for our 7 year old daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. I haven't timed how long it goes for, but it seems to go for a long time and she loves how fast it goes and enjoys racing against her brother's remote controlled car. The battery takes quite a long time to charge as it is a strong battery, but a car that goes this fast is going to use a lot of power from the battery quite quickly so it has to be this strong. It appears to be a slow charger for the battery probably so that it doesn't damage the battery. This wasn't bought as an educational toy but is very good for hand, eye coordination. It so far, seems to be very robust and hasn't damaged at all when it has been driven into things! It is great how you can change the car to make the car wheels closer together and the body rise higher using the remote, as this help it go over rough ground and long grass. It isn't great on the snow and ice that we have around at the moment as the car stuggles to get a grip on the ice. Overall an excellent toy to buy for fun.

Well the price of this toy is very good when compared to our local shops who wanted almost double the price that Amazon were selling it for. I agree with other reviewers that the battery life is disappointing with the batteries supplied being 800mah and taking 4 hours to charge for 15 minutes use.
In order to solve this problem I visited a well known auction site and purchased a set of batteries that are 2600mah, for about £10.50 so hoping to get 50 - 60 minutes use, which is probably more than enough for one session, although these will probably need to be charged overnight.
All in all a great toy and at this price considering buying another as my son had so much fun I wasn't allowed to play until the 15 minutes were up, at which time the original batteries were flat, but of course I was allowed to carry it back to our car!
I would recommend, but also suggest you look around to source a stronger battery pack.

Very good toy BUT a bit of a con. The charged batteries only last for 15 minutes so a very short time for game play! And even worse is that the batteries that come with this product takes 4 hours to charge. Not much fun for my son due to the fact that 4 hours must feel like a week for him. Sort this out Hasbro Tonka for future purchasers

Remote control monster truck
This is the best toy for my 4 year old boy. He absolutely loves it. Only downside is, it doesn't keep charged up for long enough.
