Pacemaker is a multi-award winning, revolutionary, new portable music player; the equivalent of two turntables, a mixer, an effects unit and every record you've ever owned, all miniaturised into the palm of your hand. Pacemaker's two independent audio channels let you play two tracks side by side. Beatmatching is easily done at the touch of a button, and with a full set of professional audio effects and a crossfader, you now have unlimited creative influence over your music.
The features and the performance of Pacemaker makes it the perfect mixer for any situation; a club, a house party, a BBQ, on the train, on a plane, in the park, at the beach, the list goes on... Pacemaker can be used for practising your DJing or for preparing your set on-the-go. Connect the lineout jack to an amplification system and you're ready to perform with full control in your headphones.
Pacemaker even lets you save your mixes and spread them across the digitized universe. Any mix can be saved on your Pacemaker. When transferring your mixes to your computer, you can edit and refine your mixes as you like with the free desktop application, Pacemaker Editor. Well I received my Tonium Pacemaker and what an amazing bit of kit it is! Opened up the lovely packaging and there it was, bliss for electronic music hoarders who don't want to pay £700+ for cdj or decks, more if you buy two and a mixer.
Loaded up my entire collection of various house, tech house and minimal tunes and I was off. The auto cue function allows you to mix seamlessly, letting you concentrate on when to bring the mix in and use all of the other great functions the device has to offer - flange, echo, reverb etc etc.
I can but only recommend this product, it has everything an aspiring DJ could ever need, just plug it into your amp and boom, instant party! I managed to get my head around it in about an hour, it is easier than it looks. Now I can pretty much mix all of my music.

I'd heard a lot of great stuff about the Pacemaker from DJ friends, so when it arrived, I couldn't wait to get the box open. The packaging itself was pretty cool - all black and sleek with photos of mysterious Day-Glo-coloured people in various states of repose, wearing headphones. Once I slid the outer sleeve off and got down to the inner chamber, there she was, nestled snugly in a bed of black foam.
The build quality is chunky and solid, but not heavy, with two circular features on the front - one is the screen and the other the touchpad. (When I flipped it over I found the following message in tiny letters: "All rights reserved - All wrongs reversed". I knew I had stumbled onto something cool). Imagine an iPod with a 60 GB memory and built-in decks and effects... that's the Pacemaker.
After a couple of days, I was pretty much hooked. I should point out at this stage that I have never Deejayed before in my life. Set-up was really easy (there are eight tracks already pre-loaded into the memory). Two buttons in the centre of the player represent the two `decks' with a touch-sensitive slider underneath for crossfading/mixing between the decks. There's also a handy button on the side that enables you to pull in a whole load of other effects and controls when you use the touchpad. Two further buttons allow you to forward and rewind the tracks. When the rewind button is used in conjunction with the side button, you can create loops - just like a proper DJ!
Among other things, the touchpad lets you control the treble, mid, bass, gain, echo, roll, hi/lo cut.
I found that after prolonged play with my new toy, I was discovering new functionality including a reverse loop (yes, you can play your beats backwards!)
One of the great things about Pacemaker is that as you get more adept at it, you can save your session and play it back by plugging into the PA/speaker system at your next party/barbeque, which I did with some measure of success! (If you're feeling brave enough, you can upload your mix onto the Pacemaker website).
I'd love to continue writing this, but my new toy beckons... buy one and you'll see what I mean...

i bought this item about a month ago now and its proberbly the best thing ive bought. it may be expensive, but it deffinatly shows its worth the money.
