I wanted a dryer with variable heat and fan settings, but most of them in the shops just have a couple of pre-set heat/fan combinations. Some even include "cold" as one of their heat settings! This dryer has enough variability to satisfy most people's requirements - I don't think that is truly continuously variable as the fan speed has to be fast on the higher heat settings to prevent damage to both you and the unit, so some overriding does happen. However, with a little experiment, you can soon learn the ideal combinations - the instructions aren't helpful in this respect. You need to press the centre "cool" button to move between the cold (blue display) and hotter (red display) ranges. Overall, a very good unit: it does remember the "last setting" and also has a feature which allows you to remove the fan filter for cleaning - why don't all dryers have this? Good price from Amazon compared with high street shops too.

While I love the variable speed and heat settings on this hairdyer, which is the main reason I bought it, because they are touch control, sometimes when drying my hair I accidently change the settings, which is only a slight inconvenience, but can be a bit frustrating at times. Also, the cool air setting isn't really that cold, my old hairdryer this would be very cool, but isn't as much on this one.
Other than that, great hairdryer, looks stylish and gives me the options of adjusting the heat and blowers to be a bit more precise that my previous hairdryer.

This hairdryer is nice and light and has the great benefit of having a longer than average cord which i find very handy. However the touch controls are situated on the handle where you grip and often, you touch them by accident and it changes your speed or you'll touch 'coolshot' - but it's not a massive problem and i'm learning to hold it slightly different but as a whole, i'm happy,
