I bought this for my daughter when she was about 2 months old as we have the previous model for my son (now 4 and still using his). It did tend to stimulate her a bit too much when she was very young, but she is now 16 months old and loves it, and it does help get her off to sleep and also entertains her in her cot when I need to have a shower, get dressed etc. The buttons & switches are good for a toddler to interact with. However, I do prefer the simplicity of the previous version. This has 3 tunes in the sleep and daytime modes, but you have to scroll through them each time to select one other than the default tune. The sound activation is a bit temperamental, sometimes needing a really loud noise to set it off, yet other times will start up with barely a sound being made. The light is quite bright for a nightlight, lighting up the whole room, and the picture display on the front is a bit blurred, although the projected image on the ceiling is good and clear. The biggest drawback is how quickly the batteries run down. Overall, this is an OK product, but I much prefer the previous version.
