Product Description

Product Description

The Winnie the Pooh Dreamtime Lightshow by Tomy offers a simple to use nightlight and cot projector all in one, featuring the evergreen and much loved Winnie the Pooh character and his friends. There are two easy to use modes--projector or nightlight, so it's ideal to help baby go to sleep at bedtime or just to help calm and sooth baby at anytime.

The projector mode projects cute images of Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Piglet on to the ceiling when attached to the cot, or if you use it freestanding, by laying it flat you have the option to project onto the wall. The nightlight mode shows Winnie the Pooh and his friends rotating on a soft glow nightlight on the front of the unit. There are three soothing lullabies that can be played in either mode helping send baby to sleep.

The automatic shut-off function with the option of 5 or 10 minute timer, allows the baby to drift off to sleep without any interruptions. The lightshow can be attached to the cot or used as a free standing unit on bedside table. Requires 4 x AA batteries (not included).

My baby loves this 5 Aug 2010
I looked at loads of dreamshows and chose this one as it seemed good value for money. My 15 week old absolutely loves it! I put it on just before bedtime and it automatically shuts off after 5 minutes - by which time she's asleep. It isn't the best-looking of the dreamshow products but by far the best value for cash.

My 6 month old baby responded well to this. She ignored the lightshow at first but seems to like the plinky-plonk music and the 3 lullabies. There is a grinding noise, but this doesn't seem to bother her (or us!) and gives it a kind of rustic feel which is quite charming. It could be improved by having a volume control or a nightlight only option, but I haven't found am alternative light show which does this either.

We bought this when my son was a baby and he loved it - we would have to use it every night for him to get to sleep. Being quite small, we were also able to take it on holiday with us, so that he was reassured in strange hotel rooms.

As some of the other reviewers have said, it would be better if there was an option just to have the night light on, as I often found that if he woke in the night, the light projection alone would have sent him off again & the music sometimes seemed a little loud in the middle of the night.

The "grinding" noise mentioned by some is just the sound of the projector turning round & I didn't find it annoying.

As far as battery life goes, ours had pretty heavy use and I didn't find myself changing the batteries too often - maybe once every few weeks.

Musical Lightshow
This is a lovely moving light show for babies, especially with the two lighting options. But the music sounds quite 'tinney' and is rather loud for bed time! Read more
