Tomica road and rail system, battery powered (not included) Thomas the tank engine with Annie and Clarabel. Product ref (7440) 3 years+

Product Description

Join in the fun with Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends! Thomas can be described as a cheeky, fussy little engine. He often gets into scrapes, usually by being over-eager to do things best left to bigger and more sensible engines. But clouds never last long in Thomas' world and he's soon bustling about again, playing his part in the yard and on his very own branch line, of which he is extremely proud Discover the large range of accessories to build and expand your own world of Thomas.

Fun toy 8 Sep 2010
By lisa
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
Bought this for my son's 2nd birthday and he loves it. Easy for him to switch it on and off by himself and durable (bearing in mind how many times it goes off the rails and into the wall, sofa etc!).

Thomas train 21 April 2010
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
I bought this train for my 2yr old grandson and he loves it (his favourite toy).
Possibly it is not a good toy for under 2s as he broke his original one believing it could fly!

The BEST Thomas ever! 4 Oct 2001
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
My daughter has loved Thomas and his friends since she was just a year old. Now three, she loves to add another train to Thomas each time he goes around the track. This has taught her that Thomas has limits, just like everyone else. She has learned about batteries and turns him off to save his energy. She also pushes trains around the track and races Thomas. This was by far, the BEST "Thomas" purchase we have ever made! All of these trains are very well made, sturdy and best of all - guaranteed.

This train is GREAT 7 Sep 2000

Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
I bought the medium set for my son about 10 months ago. It's become his favorite toy. Unfortunately, the THOMAS car has done a disappearing act and my 2.5 year old has not accepted the Learning Curve Thomas as a substitute. I've had to purchase the Thomas cars to replace the missing one. DEFINATELY recommended.

Battery installers beware! 6 Aug 2005
By K. C. Morrill - Published on Amazon.com
I just bought Thomas a couple of days ago and, so far, my 4 year old son is having a blast with it. You know he really likes a toy when he demands to take it to bed with him. My concerns with with this toy and the rest of the series is the durability of the link-ups and battery installation. The pieces that connect the trains and the cars don't seem to be very strong. If a child tries to pull the toys apart too hard, it may break the hook. As for battery installation, it's not as easy as the instructions say! Just push two tabs together at the bottoms and lift the top off. No, sorry, there's not enough room to get those small tabs pushed in enough to lift that top off. I found removing the bottom piece in the front that holds the two front wheels in, moving the front set of wheels to the back of the engine and gently removing the middle wheel piece gives you enough room to push the tabs in and pull the top of the engine away to put in the battery. Other than that, for a four year old boy, this toy should be just fine!
