We have about a dozen Tomy engines and Diesel is by far the best for towing lots of carriages or trucks. If your little one like attaching all the trucks to one engine then this is the one to buy. The reason is that it uses a "C" battery rather than "AA" so has more power to pull with.

bought this for my son as he loves diesel on the programme/books but every time it comes off the track it falls apart or the battery falls out of place so it doesn't move. more stressful than fun i would say!
