As another reviewer has said the crane doesn't turn round enough to pick up the package - making it completely useless. What was intended as a gift to cheer up my poorly little boy ended up confusing him when he couldn't make it work. I took it back to the shop.

This toy is extremely limited. The crane arm has only 120 degrees of movement and so it cannot swivel round to pick up the container. The container is secured in place by a strong spring-loaded clip, so even when you put its wagon behind another locomotive, say on another track parallel and adjacent to Rocky's, the container cannot be picked up without the magnetic hook either lifting the wagon or Rocky becoming derailed. The stabilising outriggers don't reach the ground. Basically a pointless toy with misleading photographs on the packaging. Save your money and buy 'Cranky at the Docks' (the mechanical one, no batteries required).

This one is slightly more prone to bits coming off, but easily put back. My son loves playing with this, and it seems to encourage his imagination with all the different scenarios he plays out.
