this is a great game for 6-9yr olds. I bought it for my 8yr old daughter for christmas last year. It has provided many hours of fun for her with her friends, and as a simple concept game which my 6yr old (and boisterous) son also enjoys. Has been a source of interest for her friends too. Each game lasts about 10-15 mins, perfect for pre-bedtime wind down. well made - sturdy board. I would definitely recommend this as a great purchase.
5 dice plus a 'feature' dice, and each player has a stack of cards marked 1-16, with 1 on the top. Throw 3 dice to start with, increasing by one as you reach numbers 7 and 11 (I think). Use the numbers on the dice to discard cards in order. Eg. throw a 1, 2 and 3. You can discard card numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 (3+1), 5 (3+2) and 6 (3+2+1). The feature dice enables you to block another player, or to switch. Simple.

A FABULOUS game for people like me who LOVE dice! :-)

This game has five standard numbered dice and a `switch' die with instructions; only three numbered dice are used at the outset - more dice come into play as the game progresses. Each player is attempting to roll the numbers on their cards to reach the magic `16' - the first to do so wins the game! It's not as easy at it sounds, as there is a 'block' chip which can be played on your opponent, but though blocking his progress, if he then rolls a `switch' on the `switch' die, he then gets the chance to swap his `blocked' deck with that of another player! (the `block' chip goes with the deck!)

This is a simple, yet addictive game for anyone who loves throwing dice. Excellent quality from `Tomy', with a small baized area in the centre of the game unit included to roll your dice! On a small critical note, the said arena could have been with doing just a tad bigger since there are so many dice to roll and it's a bit of a tight squeeze...

Love it!

Great toy for primary school children. Working on adding up, very quickly, the scores from four dice. Understanding number relationships.
Good fun.

After an hour of reading the instructions for this thing we are still none the wiser. Going from the instructions, it appears that you have to roll three dice, if the dice match the picture on the front of your top card then you can discard 1/2 of your pack. Another successful throw will get rid of the second half! Game over?! in the meantime you keep throwing the dice until they match.
It's like that boring part at the beginning of a board game where you have to throw a six to begin.
Of course this can't really be how the game is supposed to be played but the contradictory instructions make it appear as though it is.
There appears to be a missing step in the production of this game called user testing, I can only assume that the maker of this game provided oral instructions to the games testers if the testing ever took part.
We have decided to make up our own rules and hope for the best, I suspect this one won't see the light of day again though.
