Muy Loco is a new take on the usual array of electronic pets. A kind of cyber chameleon, the silver and green toy, with webbed feet and a neck ruffle, has a distinctly Latin American feel.

Point the remote control at the sensor on the back of his neck, press the "dance" button and "Ay Chorumba" watch him do the Rhumba! Or it may be a case of "Last Fandango" and you'll be treated to the tango. Whichever Latin dance Muy Loco chooses, he will move back and forth, singing, rolling his eyes, swishing his jointed tail and generally strutting his stuff to dramatic effect.
Muy Loco will also walk backwards, walk forwards, talk without any movement, and stick his concertina tongue out to order. (Place the magnetic fly near enough on the floor beneath him and he'll dutifully scoop it up on his very pink tongue.) What Muy Loco cannot do, however, is walk and chew his fly at the same time--once you have set an action in motion, he must complete that before embarking upon another.
Bright, sleek and lots and lots of fun, Muy Loco, though not among the most intelligent electronic pets on the market, is nevertheless one of the best looking and most entertaining. His Latin leanings certainly add a different element and the green markings improve upon the usual monochromatic appearance. --Lucie Naylor
