This keeps out the wind and the rain, the way it hooks under and keeps your baby's feet and hands in are great. I love that it also has access flaps for your hands. The two points I failed to get over are firstly; the hood has no drawstring, so I had to keep tugging it back to prevent it totally covering my baby's face when facing inwards. Secondly - I couldn't find how to attach it to the actual carrier - it does come with two handy elastic loops, but in order to gain a good seal against the elements, I had to thread the carrier's pacifier/dummy clip through said loops and close the popper! I'm sure there's an easier way that I failed to grasp though, and the above points have not stopped me using it or recommending it.
