I first saw this toy at a friend's house. When my own daughter started showing an interest in getting her hands on any available drawing materials and furniture I knew it was time to order this. Its brilliance is its simplicity. It's supplied with 2 pens which you fill with water, then your little one can begin scribbling, writing, whatever. As the water dries, the image starts to fade out like invisible ink leaving you with a blank area to draw some more! As the pens are filled with water there's no harm if your child likes to stick the pen in their mouth. The mat is a surprisingly large play area 90cm x 90 cm, and has the alphabet and numbers around the sides. It also has a pen holder so you can keep mat and pen together. It's not bulky when folded up so it's ideal for travelling. I have a friend who uses it to amuse her child on the train, and it will becoming to the beach with us if summer ever turns up. It even fascinates the adults!

Aqua Draw is great, with 2 children aged 2 and 3 they sit and play and learn from each other. They learn the alphabet, numbers, counting, drawing and loads more. Both my children have great fun with this toy and I would recomend it to anyone with young children who love to express themselves with a pen or pencil. There is no mess, no telling the children to be carefull where they put the pens, as it is only water. A great toy which both my children realy love. Well worth every penny.

I have to echo the comments of the other reviewer. I bought this recently for my 22 month old (bear in mind that the age range on the box says 18 months plus, not 3 years), and ever since he has had a great time scribbling, drawing and trying to copy mummy. The mat inself seems really durable and is also ideal for outdoor play if placed on a flat surface. I was really keen to get my son used to the idea of writing, drawing etc as he will only be just gone 4 when he goes to school, and I believe that this product will give him a head start. The great thing is that because the pens write with water rather than ink they are safe to go practically anywhere and you don't have to worry about crayon marks up the walls etc. He can also draw safely in other peoples houses without you having to worry. I know it seems rather expensive, but I think it has been worth its weight in gold. My only wish is that Tomy would supply extra water pens separately, as when we have visitors all the children want to play!!

Fantastic toy! Even the adults love it. It saves having to remove ink marks from clothes, faces and hands. The alphabet and numbers around the sides of the drawing board are wonderful educational items.
The bonus is that the pens only need to be filled with water. The board can be folded and stored out of the way and is a respectable size when unfolded.
Overall, highly recommended.

My daughter had this for her 3rd birthday and loves it, as do all our friends children who have seen it. We even caught my friends 13 year old son playing with it when he thought no one was looking. It says FROM 18 months on the box, and as far as I can tell so long as kids like to draw there is no upper age limit. Great for travelling as takes up hardly any room in a travel bag, and can be used almost anywhere so long as you can fill the pens with water.

We received (or my Daughter did) the aqua draw as a pressie from some friends who had one - great thing this!!
Add water to the pens and your kids can paint away for hours, as soon as the water dries, the drawing disappears. Every parent who has seen it has been trying to get hold of one but everywhere seems out of stock.
We were even talking about it the other night with friends after the kids had gone to bed - the only draw back (pun there) we came up with, is that it only colours in blue.
Well recommended though. Oh, and my daughter is 2 but I would of thought the age group is quite large for this item.
