first had the big loader 18 years ago for my son...now i got one for my 14month old grandson,he wasnt allowed to get his hands on it,not because im selfish,but due to the small balls on the track.he sat on my knee watching with delight..o the joys of being a grandad.

This is a brilliant toy. My brother had one of these toys when we were children 30 years ago and we both loved it. I brought this one for my sons 4th birthday and the toy is just as good now as it was then. Apart from the colour of the track the toy has not changed at all so it has really lasted the test of time. My 4 year old and his 2 year old brother both love it and have played with it for hours. I have not found it to be flimsy as suggested by another reviewer, if the children pull too hard on the track of course it comes apart but that is true of any similar childrens toy and when played with as intended it is fine. Once it is set off it just keeps going and going. The toy looks exactly like the picture and is well made. This is a great little toy which has kept my boys entertained for hours and I would recommend it.

This is a great toy that kept my 3rd son amused for hours when he was 3 and now my grandson has one that I bought him for his 3rd birthday - he says it is the best toy ever! It just takes one AA battery which keeps going for a long time. You can get other versions - Thomas and Harold for instance, but that is more complicated and less predictable in its working. The only downside was that the overseas delivery to New Zealand took nearly three weeks, so it was a rather late present.

Disappointing!!!

a big hit at the birthday party
This was purchased for my son's 3rd birthday and it was an instant hit! it took approx 20 minutes to put together but it has entertained our son for hours on end.
