I can't believe that it has now been 4 years since Erasure's last studio album, and if you loved the 'Dance' feel of 'The Light At the End of The World' you are going to love this.
'Tomorrows World' is quite simply a fantastic album, consisting of that classic Erasure sound and yet at the same time it sounds very modern. As mentioned, several of the tracks such as my favourite 'Be With You', 'Fill us with Fire' and 'Then I Go Twisting' a are really dance orientated and wouldn't be out of place in a modern night club.
At the other end of the spectrum you have songs like 'You've Got to Save Me Right Now', which was the only new song played live during this years Total Pop Tour. It is a slow powerful song that makes great use of Andy Bell's amazing vocals, not my favourite on the album, but hopefully a grower, since it seems to be the bands favourite.
Other great tracks include the fantastic single 'When I Start to Break it all down' and typical Erasure sounding tunes 'What will I say when you are gone?' and 'Just When I thought it was over'.
The only negative it the fact that the album only has 9 tracks, giving it a total running time of just over 30mins, probably the shortest album I have ever known. But at least in this double edition you have the second CD to enjoy, with several remixes and demos to enjoy.
Ultimately this new Erasure album is fantastic and is something the band can be proud of. I love it.
